WHAT IS SAGIP KA 2000 FOUNDATION?
It is a non-stock, non-profit organization duly registered with the Securities Exchange Commission under SEC Registration No. A200009674 dated July 10, 2000. Its primary purpose is to promote the observance of the basic human values such as respect for human dignity, personal integrity, orderliness, justice, service, art and beauty, quality and excellence, sense of freedom and spirituality among its volunteers.
Vision of the Foundation. The Foundation envisions to bring about Fullness of Life by encouraging its member-volunteers to GO BACK TO BASICS.
WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?
Membership is purely on voluntary basis. Anyone who is five years old and up to 75 years old can be an affiliate member regardless of social status, religious beliefs, political affiliations, gender, etc. for as long as he/she believes and promotes the vision of Sagip Ka 2000.
HOW CAN ONE BE AN AFFILIATE VOLUNTEER?
Simply fill-in the Application Form in the Online Application menu and deposit the Affiliation Fee in the bank of your choice. There will be one-week verification for bank confirmation. Affiliation Fee is determined by the Board of Trustees during its regular meetings.
Sense of Volunteerism. Sagip Ka 2000 Foundation promotes a sense of volunteerism among men and women of goodwill. Therefore, membership to Sagip Ka 2000 is purely on voluntary basis.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE LINKAGES OF SAGIP KA 2000 FOUNDATION?
After 10 years of existence, Sagip Ka 2000 Foundation has established linkages as a way of promoting its vision and programs. It has an endorsement of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Department of Education (DepEd). It has worked closely with the ABS-CBN Foundation and Radio DZMM during Art Exhibit “Images of Light,” “Takbo Para sa Kalikasan,” Emergency Expo and “Bakawan Para sa Kalikasan.” During the 2001 Senatorial Elections, it has provided the public school teachers benefit assistance while protecting the “sanctity of the ballots.”
The Foundation has also linked with the other organizations promoting savings mobilization, tree planting activities, cooperatives, housing, and care of the street children. Recently, a long standing member of Sagip Ka 2000 Foundation was given by the UGAT FOUNDATION and ABS-CBN the “bagong Bayani Genny Lopez Award” for her work with the Dumagats of Antipolo.
Sagip Ka 2000 Foundation has also linked with the Metro Bank Foundation in giving recognition to the Outstanding Teachers, Outstanding Soldiers and Outstanding Police Officers.
HOW MANY AFFILIATE VOLUNTEERS DOES SAGIP KA 2000 HAVE AND HOW MANY AVAILED OF THE ASSISTANCE?

Lifetime Membership: 3,636 volunteer-members
Annual Membership: 8,302 volunteer-members
Student Affiliation: 58,562 students
Members with Dugtong Buhay: 4,187 volunteer-members
Members with Comprehensive Health Assistance Program (CHAP): 365 volunteer-members
Number of Beneficiaries:
a. Hospitalization Assistance: 6,932 Medical assistance
b. Burial Assistance: 1,368 burial assistance

Sagip Ka Volunteers are expected to:

WHAR ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE SAGIP KA 2000 VOLUNTEERS?
A member-volunteer is entitled to the following benefits and privileges:
1. Save Link Card – This will serve as identification card and at the same time a privilege card.
2. Membership Certificate – This certifies that the holder is a bona fide member-volunteer of the Foundation.
3. Pilgrim’s Choice – It is a booklet that contains quotations on how to live life meaningfully.
4. Back to Basic Commitments – This is a listing of the 15 Back to Basic Commitments to remind members of their responsibilities.
5. Ambulance Service – During emergency cases, a member who avails of an ambulance service the cost of which will be refunded by the Foundation.
6. Hospitalization Assistance – a member who avails of the “Dugtong Buhay Health Assistance program” is entitled to a daily hospitalization allowance.
7. Medical Assistance for Major Surgery – member-volunteers who underwent major surgery with general anesthesia i.e. Appendectomy, Myoma, Thyroid, Gall bladder stone, etc will be given medical assistance.
8. Medical Assistance for critical illnesses – member-volunteers who happen to get sick of cancer and needs surgery and chemotherapy, heart bypass and kidney transplant will be given medical assistance.
9. Burial Assistance – in case of death of a member-volunteer, assistance will be extended to the bereaved family.
